Mark is an influential music educator who is the co-founder and artistic director of the Milwaukee Jazz Institute and the jazz piano instructor at Northern Illinois University. Mark is available for in-person lessons, online lessons, improvisation workshops, and lecture demonstrations in jazz history. Many of Mark’s former students have gone on to successful music careers, most notably Dan Nimmer, pianist with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Mark authored the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 1, released in September 2015, and the Hal Leonard Jazz Piano Method Book 2, released in June 2019. Over 29,000 copies of the method books have sold worldwide.
